Set Project - anthropomorphic characters research

Today I wanted to focus on artists whose work include anthropomorphic characters which will help me create my own drawings with those features. Focusing on individual characteristic features of each chosen animals, this is what I will be concentrating on during creating my works.  Works other people with anthropomorphic characters are a lot because of the growing popularity of this topic more and more people started creating their art using animals in it will definitely help me doing my Project.

The best example is an animated Disney movie Zootopia wherein the whole world humans do not exist, but there are animals with human behaviour. It shows individual thinking every breed put in such lovely scenery and pretty appearance of every character. Trying to go out for the boarders that society imposes to each of us such as Judy did.

My second inspiration is a love story between two dogs from different environment which is called Lady and the Tramp. This another Disney movie from 1955. The story tells about the lady from a good house (cocker spaniel) travel the world with stray dog Tramp.

Another animated series that I take as inspiration for creating my characters is Tom and Jerry directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. In this animation, we can see two incredibly lively main's characters with their battles and differences in behaviour between two breeds such as mouse and cat. Using a little bit of history and comedy creator made such brilliant and hilarious story which I loved as a child.

Another great example of using anthropomorphic characters in their works is Warner Bros Studio in their Looney Tunes where are show a lot of different characters with various personalities which gives life to this cartoon such an amazing vibe and characters which everybody falls in love with. For example Bunny Bugs with carrot and his catchphrase " What's up doc?" which is brilliant.

  1. Could you look at your links in your references and during your text - they seem to be blanked out.
Decent post, although I'd like to read about which one of these elements are an influence or inspiration on your project and how you are going to use this information in developing your characters.
