Art Portfolio - Daniel Krall & Jeong Hwa Min

 Mind this is the title of collaboration works for Daniel's Krall and Jeong Hwa Min. Their styles are completely different but during working together they the way to connect them. 

Daniel's style has that kind of lightness, I think it is thank's to using soft lines along with colours that seem to have a little grey added. His illustrations are incredibly fantastic, every piece describe its own story, have great colours and realization. 

Krall (2011) Instant Ramen Showdown 

Jeong Hwa Min is a Korean artist who in his works include lots of geometric shapes especially rectangles and simplifies forms such as people or flowers.  In almost every of Jeong's work can be seen white colour.

Daniel Krall s and Jeong Hwa Min's collaboration work showed unexpected results. Even if in the beginning they have some problems because Jeong's work includes lots of symbols and metaphors which is completely opposite of Krall's work because of his straightforward and narrativization. That's why they decided to do separate scenes that are connected by colours. 

Thank's to this experience they learned a lot from each other which helped them develop their work and characters.

Krall & Min (2009) Mind

In my collaboration project, I learned that working in a group gives communication between people are really important if we want to create something together. Feedback gives more opportunity to improve our ideas and skills sometimes even point of view. 

Looking at this piece of work reminds me of the colour palette which we used in our storyboard which is complementary colours. We wanted to put close to each other colours which are on the opposite side colour wheel. Such as purple - yellow, green - red and blue as an additional colour. 

Using black outlines for characters is something that we include in our drawings. Making our figure in dynamic poses was something that we wanted to show and I think we archive this goal. In Krall's and Min's, we can see lots of things that make this illustration dynamic such as body poses, torn lines or the blood which can be seen running on the floor.
